KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – Today, Senator Rick Scott met with Space industry leaders at the Kennedy Space Center for a roundtable discussion on how working with federal, state and private-sector partners will continue to build on the incredible economic growth on Florida’s Space Coast.

During his eight years as Governor, Senator Scott worked to position Florida as a national and global leader in space exploration by investing more than $230 million in spaceport projects, supporting the creation of more than 1,100 high-paying aerospace jobs since the end of the Shuttle program in 2011. As Senator and a member of the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, he will continue working to ensure the Space industry has all the resources it needs to continue its growth in Florida.
