WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Scott released the following statement applauding President Trump’s decision to use his executive authority to add a citizenship question to the census.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Only in Washington would this be seen as controversial. This is nothing new, the citizenship question has been asked on the census in the past. It’s common sense and the only people who think otherwise are the far, far left. These are the same liberals who are offended by the American flag and want to eliminate the citizenship test for new immigrants. Thankfully, the vast majority of Americans agree with the President, and I am glad he is using his power to do the right thing.”
