WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott joined Puerto Rican Governor Wanda Vázquez and Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón in Puerto Rico to receive a briefing from emergency management officials and meet with community leaders to discuss the ongoing efforts to rebuild and recover after the recent earthquakes. This is Senator Scott’s 11^th visit to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria devastated the island.

Senator Rick Scott said, “As Governor, I traveled to Puerto Rico regularly and did everything I could to help the island recover after Hurricane Maria. As Senator, I have vowed to be the voice for Puerto Rico in the Senate, and will continue to fight for our brothers and sisters on the island. I look forward to continuing to work with Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón and Governor Wanda Vazquez to ensure the island has all the resources it needs.”
