WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott released the below statement following another vote by Senate Democrats to block the COVID-19 relief package, which provides targeted support to individuals and businesses struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Senator Rick Scott said, “For months, Senate Republicans have presented real solutions to immediately get help to individuals and small businesses that are hurting. Our bill is the only option that can pass right now and it’s the only option that provides help without bankrupting our nation. But the Democrats continue to argue that doing nothing is better than something. If it’s not about their liberal priorities that have nothing to do with the coronavirus, then the Democrats refuse to help. That’s shameful and a slap in the face to so many Americans affected by this pandemic.”
