IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…Senator Rick Scott Offends the Delicate Sensibilities of the Chinese Communist Party

March 6, 2020

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In case you missed it, Senator Rick Scott wrote a letter to the editor of the New York Times fully discrediting an op-ed by China’s foreign affairs commissioner in Hong Kong praising Communist China as a world leader in combatting the Chinese Coronavirus. Apparently, it offended the Communist Party of China, which used its propaganda outlet, the Global Times, to post an article personally attacking Senator Scott for the third time.

The Communist Chinese propaganda outlet wrote, “… It is Scott who cannot be trusted. As a US senator, what he is supposed to care about is how to benefit the US public and vitalize the US economy, which cannot be gained through attacking China. Attacking China will not make America great again. He seemingly endorses democracy and human rights, but he knows little about Chinese affairs and resorts to sweet talk to bamboozle US voters.

…By constantly bashing China, is such a politician being responsible for the interests of the Americans?”

To answer the Communist Party of China: yes. As Senator Scott wrote in his letter to the editor, “No amount of propaganda can distract from the truth: China is willing to sacrifice the health of its citizens if it means that it can maintain its global image,” and the American people deserve to know.
