WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott released the following statement calling on the attorneys general in all 50 states to take action against bad actors that are taking advantage of this crisis and price-gouging on personal protective equipment, which is desperately needed to save lives and keep our healthcare workers and first responders safe from the Coronavirus.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Personal protective equipment is one of the most important tools our healthcare workers and first responders have to protect themselves, and I continue to hear from hospitals and law enforcement officials that there is a limited supply and they are being price-gouged. This is unacceptable. I am calling on the state attorneys general to use their authority to go after these bad actors. I am also asking Attorney General Barr to immediately implement a federal process to take action against these criminals. We must do everything we can to protect our healthcare workers and first responders so they can focus on caring for the sick.”
