Sen. Rick Scott Issues Weekly Update on Biden’s Inflation Crisis
December 17, 2021
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott released a weekly update on his actions to address America’s debt crisis and rising inflation. This release comes after the White House once again refusing to take responsibility for the growing inflation crisis fueled by Biden’s dangerous policies. After blaming the oil industry for high gas prices, the Biden administration is now targeting meat-makers for inflation. Rather than taking responsibility for their inflation and supply chain crises and implementing substantive policies that will help families struggling with higher prices and shrinking budgets, the Biden administration, in typical hypocritical fashion, is blaming others.
Following the release of November’s staggering and record-breaking producer price index earlier this week, Senator Scott issued the following statement:
Senator Rick Scott said, “Another month of Biden’s reign means another month of rising inflation. Inflation is a vicious tax on working families that eats income. Even my home state of Florida, known for its low-cost living, is not safe from Biden’s inflation crisis. Tampa experienced the highest inflation out of any major city last month. It is absolutely outrageous that while families across America struggle to make ends meet and put food on the table, Biden wants to throw gasoline on a raging inflation crisis with more reckless spending. I watched my mom struggle with rising prices when I was growing up and I know just how hard inflation can be on a family when every penny counts. Biden must be out of his mind if he thinks adding another three trillion dollars to the national debt is going to help his inflation problem. Today's PPI report cannot be ignored. We must kill the Democrats' reckless tax-and-spending spree before their dangerous socialist agenda hurts even more hardworking families.”
Since being elected to the U.S. Senate, Senator Scott has repeatedly urged action to address America’s debt crisis and the harmful effects of inflation. Click HERE for a comprehensive list of his statements and actions on this urgent issue.
