The silence of the IOC on Communist China’s oppression and human rights abuses is shameful. The abuses and genocide against Uyghurs, oppression of Hong Kongers, and aggression toward Taiwan are not unfounded allegations, they are well documented. There is no excuse for the IOC’s cowering to Communist China. It’s time to act and send a clear message that the Olympic Games are about unity and will not be associated with the atrocities General Secretary Xi leads against his own people.
