Senator Rick Scott said, “Today, I had the great honor of recognizing the heroic and brave actions of one of Florida’s own law enforcement officers, Detective Brandon Watson, with the Congressional Badge of Bravery. This award recognizes exceptional acts of bravery in the line of duty by our law enforcement officers, which Detective Watson undoubtedly displayed by his life-saving actions. I will always work to support the men and women of law enforcement, who work so hard every day to keep our state and nation safe. Florida is blessed to have officers like Detective Watson who selflessly serve our communities.”
The Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery, awarded by the U.S. Attorney General, was established by the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery Act of 2008 to honor acts of bravery performed by federal, state, and local law enforcement officers. Read more about the award HERE.
