WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott was joined by Senators Ron Johnson and Mike Lee in a press conference highlighting the massive debt and inflation that will be created by the Democrats’ $5.5 trillion reckless tax-and-spending spree. Today, Senate Democrats released the text of their proposed budget resolution which estimates that their insane spending will drive the federal debt to more than $45,000,000,000,000 by 2031 – a more than $15,000,000,000,000 increase in just 10 years.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Democrats will do anything to push their radical socialist agenda – even if that means hurting our families and small businesses in the process. The massive spending of Joe Biden and Democrats here in Washington is causing unbelievable inflation. Gas is up more than a dollar since last year. Groceries are more expensive. And it’s all caused by reckless government spending. Now, Democrats are doubling down with $5.5 trillion in reckless spending. Their unbalanced budget grows America’s debt to $45 TRILLION. It’s clear that Bernie Sanders controls the Democrat Party and his agenda of systemic socialism, endorsed by Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, is in full swing. We can’t afford this. American families facing higher and higher inflation and skyrocketing prices can’t afford this. We have to stop this insane spending that is fueling Joe Biden’s raging inflation crisis and hurting hardworking families.”
