WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott released the below statement following the Bureau of Economic Analysis report noting the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index has risen to 5.4% over the year. This data shows how President Biden’s inflation crisis, caused by his and Democrats’ socialist policies and reckless government spending, is shrinking budgets for families as the prices of everyday goods continue to skyrocket.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Under Joe Biden’s failed leadership, February marks another month of skyrocketing inflation and higher prices hurting Americans’ pockets. Families everywhere are struggling to keep up with this crisis that Biden has single-handedly caused. Blame-Game-Biden won’t admit it, but it’s clear his reckless government spending and war on American energy is driving this country away from economic prosperity. With energy prices up nearly 26% and food prices up 8%, he must correct course soon. Families cannot afford Biden’s failed liberal agenda.”
