WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, on the second anniversary of the Cuban freedom ‘Patria y Vida’ protests, Senator Rick Scott released the following video to highlight the fight for freedom and democracy in Cuba and call out the illegitimate communist Castro/Díaz-Canel regime for its brutal oppression, persecution and torture. The video shares testimony from former Cuban political prisoners and families and loved ones of current prisoners that Senator Scott has joined in advocating for their release following their wrongful imprisonment.

Since the July 11 demonstrations began, Senator Scott has continued to condemn the Castro/Díaz-Canel regime’s brutal oppression of the Cuban people and demand action from the Biden administration and international leaders to support the Cuban people.
