MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Today, Senator Rick Scott attended the Florida Sheriffs Association’s Winter Conference to give remarks and reinforce his support and commitment to Florida’s law enforcement officers. Following his remarks, Senator Scott released the following statement.

Senator Rick Scott said, “I’m always proud to join our state’s brave law enforcement officers and thank them for their incredible work to keep our families safe. Every day, our sheriffs and their deputies are placed in dangerous situations—and we owe them our gratitude for risking their lives to protect our neighborhoods and communities throughout the Sunshine State. Up in Washington as Florida’s U.S. Senator, I’m committed to stopping the flow of deadly drugs and illegal immigration at our border, which means forcing the Biden administration to secure the border and stand with our law enforcement officers who are fighting to keep families safe. I will always stand with Florida’s law enforcement and fight in Congress to make sure they have everything they need to protect our communities. Under the Trump administration, we had a real partner in the White House who cared about our safety, and our country desperately needs that commitment to law enforcement again.”
