Sen. Rick Scott Announces Salary Donation to Navy SEAL Foundation
January 17, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott and Mrs. Ann Scott announced they will donate a portion of his Senate salary to the Navy SEAL Foundation. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides critical support for the warriors, veterans and families of Naval Special Warfare. Senator Scott has donated his Senate salary since taking office in 2019.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Ann and I are proud to support an organization with a mission that means so much to us, the Navy SEAL Foundation. I’m a Navy veteran myself, and Ann and I both grew up in military families as the proud children of World War II veterans and with family members in service. We know the sacrifices men and women in uniform, and their families, make to keep our nation safe. The Navy SEAL Foundation is a pillar of support to our special forces veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the care they need and deserve after serving their country and transition to civilian life, which brings unique and stressful challenges for so many heroes. Ann and I are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our veterans and their families by supporting the great work of the Navy SEAL Foundation.”
Bill Strong, Navy SEAL Foundation Evening of Tribute Chairman, said, “We are delighted that Senator Rick Scott and Mrs. Ann Scott are once again supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation Naples Evening of Tribute. Thanks to their generosity and the generosity of other leading patrons, we will raise a record amount of money in support of the Navy SEAL Foundation on January 28th.”
